Boothy - Key Man For Saturday???
Well, its 3 days to go before our televised fixture at Crewe. Not surprisingly theres a bit more than 3 points at stake for me!!! I know plently of Alex fans who will be laughing in my face if we lose on Saturday (like they did last time we played Crewe - and lost)!. But to me thats part and parcel of being a Terrier in South Cheshire!! But I am really looking forward and so is little Luke (so my sister keeps telling me)!
I strongly suspect that we will stick with the 'direct football' approach, because Crewe are known for the 'passing game', and I reckon that a few 'long-balls' may unsettle their defence. I think the bet will have to be a couple of quid on Boothy to score first.
Also, on a different subject, tomorrow the 'Transfer Window' closes. Now what disconcerts me is that firstly we haven't been officially linked with anyone recently, and secondly I've not heard so much as a single roumer about anyone we might be signing!! WE NEED A MIDFIELDER!!! It was in the Daily Mirror today that Crewe have been linked with Paul Ince - WHY AREN'T WE LINKED WITH PLAYERS LIKE THAT!!! What do we have to do to get someone like that - it's so frustrating. If we were the Huddersfield Giants mind, well we probably would. No prizes for guessing where Mr Davy would rather spend his money.
