Some disappointing news....
David Mirfin agony
Mirf is one of my favourite players, and I know he would've played on Saturday if he had been fit, but as soon as Nathan Clarke is back he would probably have been dropped anyway - unfairly in my opinion. He played well when Tosh was away on loan, which is more than can be said for N Clarke. If NC is going through a bad patch, as Jacko says, than thats one heck of a bad patch - how many games?? And also, if Jacko still has full confidence in NC, as he says he has, then thats worrying, when a lot of the goals we have conceded have been down to his poor defending. I'd play John McCombe from the start on Saturday, but I bet it won't happen.
