Seems I'm not the only one with transport nightmares at the moment. My husband tells me that two Crewe fans asked him last night if I had had any bother getting to Huddersfield last Saturday (I thought he was piss taking at this point, but no), and when he told them what happened they said that they have had to cancel going over to Bradford for their FA Cup fixture at the weekend because of the same problems!!! I mean, I know Crewe is "...the centre of the train universe...", but it's not here where the headaches are!!!
Sam also tells me that a railway-bloke he spoke to told him that "...all engineering work takes place at weekend, never in the week - you could get over to Yorkshire by train any other day as normal, just not on a Saturday or Sunday...". Typical.
