Jacko reveals he would like Andy Taylor to stay at least another month.

Taylor to extend loan deal

Now, no disrespect intended here - but I don't rate him. Despite the fact a Crewe fan told me he was really good, and Dario Gradi wanting him back at Crewe before we got him I have seen nothing to impress me. I know he struggled with illness to start, and I'll allow for that, but nothing I saw Saturday made me think he was any better than Joe Skarz (or dare I say it Danny Adams).

Lets hope Jacko knows best!!

Matty Glennon was the hero on Saturday, and he is proud of his penalty saves (rightly so). He also gives his views on the rest of the season.

Matt Glennon Interview

Nice interview, and I'm pleased that he seems to think our season isn't over either (could he really be expected to say anything else though).

Apparently (I didn't see it, must have been looking elsewhere at the time) Gary Taylor-Fletcher picked up a yellow card near the end on Saturday, which makes 5 (meaning a ban). Jacko is unhappy.

Jacko Rues GTF Setback

He misses the Forest match which is a bit of a blow, although Danny Schofield and Andy Holdsworth will be available.
Found out that I am actually off this Saturday, but regrettably will not be able to get to Nottingham (groan) - so I'll be spending the afternoon listening to Paul Ogden and Kieran O'Regan instead.

Over on 606, I have decided that maybe I should think with my head and not my feelings for once.

JulieLovesJacko - Huddersfield Town - Jacko on The Way Out???

Difficult, almost a bit painful to write, butI had to get it off my chest.

Huddersfield Town 1-2 Crewe Alexandra

How we never got a point at least from this game I will never know (perhaps the referee will enlighten us on that one). Crewe are no better a side than we are - thought we were the far better side for the vast majority of the game, but if you can't put your chances away you are not going to win.

Town bossed the early part of the game - Paul Hayes (who looked quality for 80 minutes before he tired) nearly had the dream start to his Town career when he turned and shot, only to see his effort hit a post with the keeper beaten. A similar effort not long after from him drifted wide.

We opened the scoring when Chris Brandon successfully shut-up the boo-boys behind me (same mob as at the Chesterfield game) with an excellent curling effort (yay - been a long time in coming that). I thought we would just stride on after that and win easily - wrong!

The referee seemed to want to make a name for himself in this game (either that or he had an away win down on his pools coupon), and gifted Crewe a penalty late on the first half - it didn't look a foul where I was sitting, although the linesman over that side of the field had no hesitation. I thought it looked harsh. Gary Roberts stepped up, but Matty Glennon saved his effort (not the greatest penalty ever struck it has to be said). I was convinced we would still be in front at half time, but not to be - a couple of minutes after Crewe crossed the ball for Michael Higdon to score with a header - although why it took the officials an age to award the goal I'm not entirely sure - looked like it had been disallowed for a moment, but no.

Second half and Town had chance after chance to regain the lead - Hayes, GTF, Matty Young, Michael Collins all had good chances to score, either the keeper saved or it went over the bar/wide.

Then, completely against the run of play, Crewe went in front - a 20 yard deflected shot from Ryan Lowe completely flat-footing Matty Glennon (to send me into utter despair).

Almost unbelievably, after a challenge that was at least a foot outside the box (although it was a foul this time), the referee gave another penalty - referees who can't see properly like that shouldn't be allowed to ref (imho). Matty Glennon produced a marvellous diving save to his left to keep the spot-kick out - only for the flaming git of a referee to order a retake!!!!! Change of penalty taker this time, but Julien Baudet couldn't find his way past Matty either - 3 penalty saves in the same match - fantastic!!!

The crowd really picked up and got behind Town in the last 10 minutes (yes, I know we should be doing this for the whole 90 minutes, but there you go). I almost forgot we were behind at one point. Even Matty Glennon went up front for a corner - we threw absolutely everything at Crewe we could - but it wasn't to be our day. And another home defeat, that seems to be the final nail in the coffin of any hope of play-offs this season.

Jacko on Huddersfield v Crewe (written)

Near the end of the game, you know, I kept looking down at PJ, wondering what he must have been thinking (it breaks my heart) . I can only hope that Mr Davy can find it in him to let Jacko keep his job (a plea from the heart from me here I'm afraid), even if we only finish 10th or something this season. We will see.

Jacko on Town v Crewe (Audio)

******

A wretched night for me down the social club as you can imagine. Usually though, in the past when we have lost to Crewe they are quite kind to me - and the two Crewe fans I trust the most down there (neither were at the game) listened to me intently while I talked about what happened, and we had a nice conversation about the match, and life in League One in general. It was then that the drunken-idiot-loons (who have no interest in football to my knowledge) who were hell-bent on making my day even worse "...what did Crewe do today then Ju, ay...", "...did Huddersfield lose again today - you'll be getting a cover up for your tattoo - hahahaha...", someone else (who should know better, one of Sams best mates), tried to drape a Crewe scarf round me - I ran to the toilets deeply upset - it was nasty and left me nearly in tears - Sam told them all to "...**** off...", partly because he could see I was unhappy, partly because he wanted to finish his pint in peace!! I can take banter as well as the next person, but this was cruel.

Town now travel to Forest next weekend, I wouldn't put it past us to get a result down there, the way our season has been - more to follow later in the week.

Its a damp, dull day here in South Cheshire - not too dis-similar to the weather we had the day of the reverse fixture, except its not raining quite as hard and the wind is barely noticeable. Just hoping that the result is a bit different - I'm confident it will be.

Spoke to 2 Crewe fans last night, and they tell me that their team is down to the bare bones - they've got 5 out I'm told, including Nicky Maynard and Luke Varney (2 of their better players - Maynard scored the goals back in September) and a couple of others - we might just be playing them at the right time.

I've got a feeling that it's going to be a good day............

A new loan signing, a forward - and an excellent one at that!!!

Paul Hayes Signs From Barnsley

Now I remember seeing this guy in the play-offs against us last season, and I thought he was quality - didn't he score the penalty??? I think so. He's a bit quick as well, can play up front or on the wing - just the sort of player Luke Beckett will feed off all day long - this is looking good - nice work Jacko!!

Getting excited in anticipation for tomorrows game and no mistake - can't wait to be there - the more I think about it the more confident I'm getting - bring it on!!!!!

90 minutes that changed my life!!

Thanks to everyone who has taken the trouble to view my humble site today, via my bit of advertising on Down At The Mac - we are approaching a record number of hits in one day - I'm grateful, and hopefully most of you will return at some point!

I was thinking though that I haven't really said an awful lot of my Town supporting past, mainly concentrating on the here-and-now of course - so a brief(ish) summary. Here goes.....

I started following Huddersfield Town in 1990. Now, back in the day I used to go and watch Crewe a lot (haven't seen them play anyone but Town in over 10 years now) - particularly round about the time I left school (1988/1989) as the vast majority of my Mums family are Alex mad. It was generally accepted I would turn out the same way, even though I didn't go to games until my late teens.

In March 1990 (3rd of March to be precise), the game that changed my life. I travelled with a car-full of my family to Leeds Road to watch Crewe against Huddersfield in a Division Three game. I had never been to an away game in my life, so visiting such a big ground (it looked massive to me compared to Gresty Road) was exciting. When we arrived I remember clearly walking up to the ground and going "..wow, I like this place..". Even though I had only recently started going to matches, I always had an interest in football, and was pretty clued up on most clubs histories (including Towns), so while we were watching the game I remember looking all around the ground, quietly musing that the old ground must have seen some marvellous times in the past. I was almost daydreaming to be honest!! Then - and I as good as missed it - Crewe scored - pandamonium around me, but strangely I wasn't really bothered - didn't know why at the time to be honest, but something wasn't right with me.

The game ended up 1-0 to Crewe, everyone travelling with me was buzzing - I was non-plussed - as we left the ground I looked back and had a random thought - that I wished this was my local ground because I wanted a return visit and soon!!!

When I returned home I did my homework!! It wasn't long before I was more clued up on Towns players and history than I was with Crewe!! When I announced my intention that I was now a Huddersfield Town fan first and Crewe would have to be my second team (they are not even that now) I was treated with astonishment and derision (unsurprisingly). Everyone thought I had lost my marbles ("...its not like you even live near there..."), but I was determined - and what started as a casual interest became a full blown obsession that continues to this day.

In September 1990 Town signed a centre-half from Bradford - chap by the name of Peter Jackson! He soon became my favourite player, my hero (can't think why **blushes**). Unfortunately for me though I only visited Leeds Road one more time before the bulldozers moved in, again when Crewe were the visitors (couldn't afford the train fare back then - even though I made many plans). In fact, the early visits I made to the "...McAlpine..." were when Crewe played there because I could always grab a lift (I admit sitting amongst the Alex supporters at the time, as I was a bit too shy to sit with a load of strangers back in the day).

Sad fact time - after Jacko left the club in 1994 I did make more than one trip to Chesters Deva Stadium to watch my hero in action - I think I went either 3 or 4 times, something like that - one night I saw Crewe put 6 past them in an Autoglass Trophy tie one very cold night (but that is another story).

Started to travel over for games on my own in the late 90s (during PJs first spell as manager unsurprisingly), and the LB Lower is now my spiritual home. Due to the nature of my job (in the betting industry), Saturdays are fairly hard to come by, and coupled with the increasing costs in both admission and train fare I don't get over as often as I would like - but as regular readers will confirm I do get when it is possible.

So thats about it really. Not really a lot more to tell, only to say that in terms of a journey - supporting Town has been a trip of a lifetime. And long may it continue - TTID!!!

Two nice surprises for me today. My programme from the Brentford game arrived (cheers Keith), complete with key-ring, and as an added bonus it was personally signed by Jacko!!! I am absolutely delighted (not with the result of course, but you know what I mean)!!

Second nice surprise - you will have noticed how I was interrupted mid-report last night by the reading of my E-Mail on BBC Radio Leeds - well, guess what I found in my E-Mail In-Box today - a personal reply from Paul Ogden - brilliant. It read thus:

"....Thanks for your contribution last night Julie - I've got the same funny feeling as well.

I'm not booking any May holiday just yet !!

Regards,
Paul Ogden BBC LOOK NORTH / BBC RADIO LEEDS SPORT ..."

Nice that, thanks Oggy xxxx

Danny Adams has finally found a new club.

I'm sure he will do a fine job for them, best of luck to him.

Rotherham United 2-3 Huddersfield Town

Three points, and an excellent performance. Ok, I know Rotherham are bottom of the league, 10 points adrift - but Town had to manage with 10 men for most of this game, so I say it is an excellent performance.

Town were in front as early as the 3rd minute when Chris Brandon put Luke Beckett through, and he made no mistake. It was all Town after that point, Rotherham were hardly in it - but then the game was turned on its head when after a mellee in the Town box, Andy Holdsworth was adjudged to have handled the ball - a red card for him (a harsh decision), and a penalty for Rotherham scored by O'Grady. All square at the break.

Town were back in front within seconds of the restart, Chris Brandon setting Beckett up once more, this time for a header. A third goal for Town came not long after when Michael Collins scored. It looked all over, but we had a nervous last few minutes when Delroy Facey (yes, that one) on as a Rotherham substitute got a second for them (seconds after Paul Ogden had described Rotherham as a "...very poor side, not even talking to each other...").

The sendings offs were evened up when a late tackle on Matty Young meant a red card for Rotherham forward Ian Henderson.

The referee seemed to add on an age in extra time, but we were not to be denied and the

ooooooo - stop - just had my e-mail read out on Radio Leeds - woo-hoo........ that is a first, I'm thrilled!!!

...now where was I - ah - the three points were all ours!!!

Bring on Crewe, 3 more points Saturday - who knows - I really can't wait now - COME ON TOWN!!!!!!!!!

(Random thought, I suspect one win against a team certain to go down will not shut up the "...Jacko Out..." brigade just yet, but its one of the 10 wins we supposedly need).

TTID!!

****

(Transcript of my E-mail read out on the radio:

the cynics will say its only against Rotherham who are cut adrift, but to play with 10 men as long as we had to, then that is not a bad performance from Town. I'm delighted.

Playoffs - stranger things have happened )

half-time: Rotherham 1-1 Town

Started promisingly (Luke Beckett scored on 3 minutes), but game changed when Andy Holdsworth sent off for handball ("...extremely harsh..." K O'Regan), and penalty given to Rotherham. Was all Town prior to that - will Jacko change things round during the break??

Just started up the "...Windows Media Player...", looking forward to putting my feet up in the company of Oggy and Kieran - and praying for three points.

(Oh, by the way, must have mis-read Jackos notes, as he believes this ISN'T a must win game. Surely all games are must-win considering where we are right now).

Jacko on Town v Rotherham (pre-match)

So - 10 wins out of 13 ay?? What, with Forest, Oldham and Scunthorpe away from home to negotiate!!!! It'll take some doing that - and as much as I love PJ to bits, ( nothing would mean more to me if he can make this happen, naturally), - I cannot see this occuring at all. Not at all.

Monday, February 19, 2007

Midweek action as we take on Rotherham tomorrow evening. Jacko says its a must win game (yet again stating the blooming obvious).

Jacko - We Need To Hit Back

Rotherham are bottom of League One, and given our unreliable form against "...lower..." sides I'm taking nothing for granted. But it should be 3 points to us - I would hope so anyway.

Already looking forward to Saturdays match against Crewe - can't wait. The Crewe fans down the club are already circling round me like vultures promising Town a thrashing. I'm confident that revenge will be mine (a few pints riding on the outcome already). It'll be an interesting train journey on Saturday..........

Huddersfield Town 0-2 Brentford

All I can say is typical Town!! Build all our hopes up then put in distinctly average display.

Ok, if Andy Booth had put away some of the chances he had had first half we could have been 2 or 3 up - but second half a different team appeared, and we were undone by two decent goals (was nearly three as Brentford hit the post near the end). Lots of corners count for nothing if they don't amount to anything.

Jacko thinks we didn't play as well as we could have (you don't say, babe - **groan**)!!!

Jacko on Town v Brentford (written)

*****

We have got problems, it is obvious. And if the answers given by Ken Davy to the FFA are true, then Jacko could well be gone before the start of next season unless we buck our ideas up and very soon indeed. Four or 5 places away from the play-offs (play-offs being a minimum requirement it was said before the season started) will not be enough. Furthermore, our chairman would seem to be as mystified as everyone else as to why Jacko can't get players in (I am well worried now, particularly if the money IS there).

Play-offs?? It'll take a miracle. Hopefully, Jacko will (eventually) get it right (I would hope so anyhow, because it looks like time (and KDs patience) may finally be running out).

Saturday, February 17, 2007

Jacko is confident for todays game, and so am I.

Jacko on Town v Brentford (pre match)

I really wish I was going to todays match, I'm really not in a work-frame-of-mind today. Might be something to do with the fact that tomorrow sees my last day at Oakfield Racing after 10 years. On Monday I move to local competitor Bet 365. Its Call-Centre based as opposed to Shop based, so I will still have to work a few Saturdays - but the ones I want off might be far easier to get (looking to next season anyhow)!!

Still wish I was going to the game today - heres to a decent win COME ON TOWN!

Friday, February 16, 2007

Nice article in todays Daily Mail about our Academy, with a few words from Gerry Murphy.

Huddersfield Town - Production Line

Thursday, February 15, 2007

Town now have 3 games in seven days - at home to Brentford on Saturday, away to Rotherham Tuesday night, and at home to Crewe the following Saturday.

All 3 look like Town wins to me - or at least they should be. The League One table will look an interesting place if we were to get 9 points out of 9 - ok, I know this is HTFC I am talking about, and the capability to self-destruct is always there, but I've got a good feeling about this. If we can remain unbeaten who knows what will happen. We are certainly playing well enough to beat these teams right now. Don't forget, it took a 25-yard deflected shot to breach our shiny-new defence last Saturday of course.

I'm wondering how far down my list of predictions I will get before Town get the script wrong - come on Jacko, get the lads fired-up for Saturday and continue the recent good work!!!

I'm full of confidence fellas - DON'T LET ME DOWN!!!!!!

A quick word of thanks to the person who responded to my plea for a programme from this Saturdays game. They know who they are, and I am eternally greatful (have sent you an e-mail in reply). Many thanks!!

Frank Sinclair enjoyed his debut on Saturday - i think he is going to become a very popular addition to our squad.

Frank Sinclair - I'm Very Happy

Likewise Andy Taylor.

Andy Taylor - Debut Went Well

As I said recently, I heard good things about Andy Taylor from a Crewe fan, so things are looking good. And with Franks experience at the back we could have a very interesting last third of the season indeed!!

Tuesday, February 13, 2007

Help required - if anyone out there would be kind enough to do so, could someone get me a programme on Saturday (complete with freebie of course), send it on to me, and I will quite happily pay + postage - please drop me an e-mail if you can help!!

E-Mail: jackos.gal@hotmail.co.uk

Cheers!!

A new initiative has been announced by Town.

Free Gift With Town v Brentford Programme

Pity they couldn't have hung on until the Crewe match a week later, I won't be there on Saturday - and I am a devoted programme buyer as well - oh well!

Monday, February 12, 2007

Gary Taylor-Fletcher is proud of his goal from Saturday, and rightly so - an excellent piece of individual skill.

Interview with GTF

And Jacko thinks we should have won on Saturday (I'm inclined to agree).

Jacko - It Feels Like A Defeat

Sunday, February 11, 2007

Just thought I would have a quick look at the remaining fixtures that Town have until the end of the season, and our chances (imho):

  • Town v Brentford - the Bees are having a worse season than we are, but recent results have been improved - we should still have enough to win - Town to win 2-0 or 3-0
  • Rotherham v Town - if our defence holds up we shoud safely negotiate this local derby, 1-0 or 2-1 to us).
  • Town v Crewe - easiest three points this season, Town to run riot (Julie to get lynched when she gets back home). Biggest win of the season 5-0. Easy, easy!!!
  • Nottm Forest v Town - not confident about this one, if we get a point we will be doing well, even though Forests form has been a bit and miss since new year. Forest to win 1-0 (but a 1-1 draw would be good).
  • Town v Bradford - picking up from where we left off against Crewe, a massive crowd to witness one-way traffic - Town to triumph 3-0.
  • Carlisle v Town - would have thought this could be a banana skin, but the way they folded second half against Yeovil yesterday gives me hope - town to scrape through 1-0 (but 1-1 would not be the worst result).
  • Brighton v Town - a nice day out at the seaside for the faithful followers - Town to win 2-1 or 3-1
  • Town v Port Vale - excellent chance for a league double against an average Vale side. 2-0 win for us.
  • Oldham Athletic v Town - play like we played in the home fixture against them and WE WILL NOT WIN - can see us losing here to be honest 1-0, or 2-0 (anything better would be a bonus, they look like champions to me).
  • Town v Blackpool - if can get this far still in the hunt for the playoffs, then this will be an EXTREMELY important fixture - A nice sunny day and a (possible) Town victory - 2-1 or 3-1, and a very Happy Easter.
  • Scunthorpe United v Town - another difficult away fixture - perhaps we should shut-up-shop for this one, 0-0 or 1-1.
  • Town v Millwall - the Lions are improving slowly, but we should still take care of them - 2-0 win for Town.
  • Northampton v Town - the Cobblers best form is away from home, and I am hopeful we will take advantage of this - 1-0 Town (but I would settle for a point).
  • Town v Leyton Orient - lets finish the regular season in style. An easy win, and hopefully (other results permitting) a berth in the playoffs.

The above will give Town a total of anything between 70 and 77 points (quick mental arithmetic) - and we should be in the play-offs, as this points total is comparable with the 73 we got last season. But there is still some way to go.............

Bristol City 1-1 Huddersfield Town

If someone had offered me a draw before this game I would have been tempted to take it in all honesty - but under the circumstances we have to look at this as 2 points well and truly dropped here.

Frank Sinclair and Andy Taylor made their debuts for Town (replacing Nathan Clarke and Joe Skarz), and Matty Young stepped in for Chris Brandon.

Both sides had chances in the first half, but Town appeared comfortable, Sinclair playing excellently in defence.

The deadlock was broken in the 52nd minute by what can only be described as "...wonder goal..." (having seen it on TV this morning). Gary Taylor-Fletcher danced his way past 7 or 8 players before planting a low drive into the corner of the net - a truly glorious solo effort, and no-one would have complained had that been the winner, it was fantastic.

Bristol City hit more trouble, when Luke Beckett was clean through and he attempted a lob towards goal, it was handled outside the box by City stopper Basso. A red card was a formailty. (I was at work thinking 3 points would be a formality now - wrong...).

All Towns good work was to be undone with only 2 minutes to go, when from nothing Lee Johnson (yes, the very same t****r who attacked Jacko back at The Galpharm in August) shot on the turn from 25 yards out, and the ball whistled just past Matty Glennons left hand - GUTTED!! Two points gone begging and no mistake.

Ok, if we can remain unbeaten until the end of the season then who knows (I really don't want to write off our chances just yet) - and if we had won today, then we could have confidently talked play-offs (yes, really). But this bit of bad fortune this afternoon might be telling at the end of the season (particularly if we miss the play-offs by a point).
Believe the faith (and all that kind of thing).

Jacko on Bristol City v Town (written)

Don't know what annoyed me more - the fact we conceded late on against 10 men, or because it was Johnson who scored it (I will never NEVER forgive him for that incident).

Saturday, February 10, 2007

Town take on Bristol City at Ashton Gate this afternoon - and I'm a bit confident about this one. I'm not the only one.....

With our new defenders, and maybe Bristol City will be more concerend with their up-coming cup action, then now could be the best time to catch them. Town to win 2-0 or 2-1. Here's hoping!! COME ON TOWN!!!!!!!

Sinclair Joins Terriers

Jacko: Pleased To Sign Sinclair

Town Sign Sinclair

At long last my computer is up and running once more!!!

Town have made a loan signing today - and what a excellent one at that - Frank Sinclair - I am absolutely delighted. We've been leaking goals for fun this season and with him and Mirf at centre-half that should stop straightaway. This news has made my day, it really has - nice work Jacko!! (Any small, lingering hope that Tosh would come back has been banished completely I would suggest). Frank is with us until the end of the season, with the possibility of a further deal after that.

With Luke and Boothy firing them in up-front, and now an experienced former Premiership / International player in defence things are starting to look up already.

Whisper this quietly - play-offs here we come????

Wednesday, February 7, 2007

Have been busy over the last day or two (been taking advantage of a few quiet days in the shop, most of the racing is abandoned at present), setting up a page on My Space for myself.

Find me here:

http://www.myspace.com/juliemulvey

(it enables me to include my other interests that I wouldn't bore you all with on here)!!!

The "...loan window..." opens tomorrow, and Jacko is anxious to be involved.

Loan Window Opens On Thursday

Well, we definately need a centre-half, a midfielder and a forward - wonder how many (if any) we will manage to get??

Farewell Tosh?????
When I saw the first 11 that was picked for Saturday, and noticed that Martin McIntosh was neither in the team, and not even on the bench, I knew instantly that he would have played his last game for Town. This is a travesty - I've said this before, that he may be older than me but he is still quality. Only a couple of weeks back Jacko told Tosh he was on his way out - Tosh's response was to say that he still wanted to play for Town, and that he would do all in his power to change PJ's mind. And in my opinion he should have (changed Jackos mind), because he's done nothing wrong since then.

A fully fit Martin McIntosh or a half-fit (or even a fully-fit for that matter) Nathan Clarke - come on, there's no contest here surely.
Another example of a player being treated appallingly (same as Pav). Can only blame Jacko for this though (groan), they must have fell out (roumers of this have circulated in the past) - Tosh is probably one of those who stands up to PJ - and our beloved leader would not seem to be too fond of such a tactic (a trait of Jacko's that aggrieves me I have to say).

Sam's mate-who-does-computers is paying us a visit tonight apparantly (he's a tad unreliable, so it's odds on he'll be a no-show), lets hope he can have us back up and running again. Don't like having to use the firms computers (I do cover my tracks well), but for the moment needs must.

Huddersfield Town 3-1 Gillingham

Apologies that this report isn't of the usual high standard, but I have computer problems at home and I am not in work tomorrow, so it is a bit of a rush job tonight or later Monday afternoon (I don't like to leave you all with nothing to read).

Town were 2 up inside the first 10 minutes when "...B & B..." (as Jacko calls them), scored a goal apiece - Luke in the 3rd minute and Boothy in the 8th minute.

Gillingham equalised with 20 minutes of the second half to go, leaving me a little nervous in work, but when Boothy scored a third near the end victory was assured.

BBC Minute by Minute - Huddersfield v Gillingham

Heard some good things about Andy Taylor last night. He was on loan at Crewe Alex earlier in the season so I thought I would pick the brains of a friend, to see what sort of a player he is. What I heard delighted me "...excellent player, well regarded at Crewe, good little thinker - quick as well, should do you a good job..." (I do trust this fella by the way, he is not just saying this to wind me up I assure you) "...Dario wanted to keep him another month, but Mark Hughes was having none, wanted him back - shame really, because he was a good little player...".

Just what I wanted to hear, lets hope he actually plays as good as he sounds like he does.

Friday, February 2, 2007

Tomorrow Town take on Gillingham, managed by one of my all-time Town favourites Ronnie Jepson. Gutted that I won't be there (I want Town to win of course, but to see Rocket Ron again would have been nice). Another nervous day in work it will be for me.

Think we are playing well enough to get three points tomorrow.

Jacko on Town v Gillingham (pre match)

Worthy is definately out, and there is a possibility that Nathan Clarke and Adnan Ahmed might figure.

Boothy is definitely up for it.

Boothy on Town v Gillingham (pre match)

Apparantly, there was more about Zoltan not signing that meets the eye. This is from Sky Sports, who report that the deal was signed and sealed, but something changed:

Hungarian Deal Off

.....but not according to BBC Sport, who said that Jacko wasn't impressed by him, and that is why he didn't sign (although Jacko isn't actually quoted as saying so).

Jacko: Zoltan Not Done Enough To Impress

Who's telling the truth???? All very strange if you ask me (more Town bulls*** maybe?). Probably all down to money I expect. Typical Davy (and yes I am blaming him yet again).

A busy old morning...

Two Town Signings

Now don't get too excited, it's a contract extension for Boothy and Joe Skarz has signed his first professional forms!!

More news.......

Rabs Goes To Blackpool

....not on holiday, but on loan to the end of the season.
