Bristol City 1-1 Huddersfield Town

If someone had offered me a draw before this game I would have been tempted to take it in all honesty - but under the circumstances we have to look at this as 2 points well and truly dropped here.

Frank Sinclair and Andy Taylor made their debuts for Town (replacing Nathan Clarke and Joe Skarz), and Matty Young stepped in for Chris Brandon.

Both sides had chances in the first half, but Town appeared comfortable, Sinclair playing excellently in defence.

The deadlock was broken in the 52nd minute by what can only be described as "...wonder goal..." (having seen it on TV this morning). Gary Taylor-Fletcher danced his way past 7 or 8 players before planting a low drive into the corner of the net - a truly glorious solo effort, and no-one would have complained had that been the winner, it was fantastic.

Bristol City hit more trouble, when Luke Beckett was clean through and he attempted a lob towards goal, it was handled outside the box by City stopper Basso. A red card was a formailty. (I was at work thinking 3 points would be a formality now - wrong...).

All Towns good work was to be undone with only 2 minutes to go, when from nothing Lee Johnson (yes, the very same t****r who attacked Jacko back at The Galpharm in August) shot on the turn from 25 yards out, and the ball whistled just past Matty Glennons left hand - GUTTED!! Two points gone begging and no mistake.

Ok, if we can remain unbeaten until the end of the season then who knows (I really don't want to write off our chances just yet) - and if we had won today, then we could have confidently talked play-offs (yes, really). But this bit of bad fortune this afternoon might be telling at the end of the season (particularly if we miss the play-offs by a point).
Believe the faith (and all that kind of thing).

Jacko on Bristol City v Town (written)

Don't know what annoyed me more - the fact we conceded late on against 10 men, or because it was Johnson who scored it (I will never NEVER forgive him for that incident).
