Rotherham United 2-3 Huddersfield Town

Three points, and an excellent performance. Ok, I know Rotherham are bottom of the league, 10 points adrift - but Town had to manage with 10 men for most of this game, so I say it is an excellent performance.

Town were in front as early as the 3rd minute when Chris Brandon put Luke Beckett through, and he made no mistake. It was all Town after that point, Rotherham were hardly in it - but then the game was turned on its head when after a mellee in the Town box, Andy Holdsworth was adjudged to have handled the ball - a red card for him (a harsh decision), and a penalty for Rotherham scored by O'Grady. All square at the break.

Town were back in front within seconds of the restart, Chris Brandon setting Beckett up once more, this time for a header. A third goal for Town came not long after when Michael Collins scored. It looked all over, but we had a nervous last few minutes when Delroy Facey (yes, that one) on as a Rotherham substitute got a second for them (seconds after Paul Ogden had described Rotherham as a "...very poor side, not even talking to each other...").

The sendings offs were evened up when a late tackle on Matty Young meant a red card for Rotherham forward Ian Henderson.

The referee seemed to add on an age in extra time, but we were not to be denied and the

ooooooo - stop - just had my e-mail read out on Radio Leeds - woo-hoo........ that is a first, I'm thrilled!!!

...now where was I - ah - the three points were all ours!!!

Bring on Crewe, 3 more points Saturday - who knows - I really can't wait now - COME ON TOWN!!!!!!!!!

(Random thought, I suspect one win against a team certain to go down will not shut up the "...Jacko Out..." brigade just yet, but its one of the 10 wins we supposedly need).

TTID!!

the cynics will say its only against Rotherham who are cut adrift, but to play with 10 men as long as we had to, then that is not a bad performance from Town. I'm delighted.
