Its 17 years ago today that I made my fateful visit to Leeds Road (my programme from that game is pictured above), and by coincedence of course Town are in action today, this time against Nottingham Forest (imagine the spooky connection had last weekends and this weekends fixtures had been the other way around). I am only hoping that the result isn't the same.....
League One is a funny old league this season with everyone capable of beating everyone else. Was speaking to a Crewe fan last night (he was at the game last Saturday but this was the first time I had seen him since then) and he was of the same opinion (thankfully for me the ribbing he gave me was in good humour (and accepted in the same grace), none of the nastiness of last weekend). That being so, this game could go one of two ways - a good Town win, or the biggest thrashing we have had for years. I don't see a draw - although that would not have been the worst result had we not lost to Brentford and Crewe.
Looking forward to listening Oggy and Kieran (who was a substitute in that match 17 years ago today, another coincedence) - lets hope they have a Town victory to report on - fingers crossed COME ON TOWN!!!
