Jacko Leaves
I am utterly devastated, never dreamed it would happen this week, thought that if he was still here yesterday then he would still be here for Saturday - I am completely shellshocked (predictably my husband can't see what all the fuss is about, although I know for a fact he is quietly glad that "...your other bloke..." is gone).
My mind is in a bit of a state right now, not sure what I can say.
I think everyone is aware about my feelings for him, 16 and a half years is a long time to be an admirer of anyone - and the thought of him not being there when we play Bradford on Saturday breaks my heart (and for my next visit, when we play Port Vale - gutted).
I take many, many happy memories from his tenure here - that fantastic day in Cardiff for one - and will look back on the last 3 and a half years with pride. And I hope Jacko does too (I'm sure he will).
Finally,
If, by any small chance you get to read my humble weblog Peter, you will see that there ARE still some of us who didn't - never - wanted this to happen. My support for you has been unfailling throughout both your spells as manager, and my heart is heavy today.
Thanks for the memories,
all my love, your staunchest fan,
Julie xxx
