Nottingham Forest 5-1 Huddersfield Town

A thrashing, a humiliation, a disaster. I am completely stunned by this (but I did say earlier that this could happen, although I never honestly dreamed it would).

Town were behind as early as the 6th minute when Junior Agogo scored, it was 2-0 in the 17th when McGugan scored, 3-0 in 19 minutes when Holt scored and 4-0 before half-time when Perch got a goal.

I know we are short on players at the moment - no Fletch, no Worthy, no Boothy - but I honestly think it wouldn't have made much difference. Totally outcassed in every department - only David Mirfin I would say with even a shred of credit here.

2nd half - no different - Agogo got his 2nd in the 60th minute, and the Town fans headed for the City Ground exits. I don't blame them, its a poor performance and we have problems. Big ones.

Matty Young got a consolation in the 82nd minute, but who is going to remember this game for that???

I firmly believe no matter what anyone else says, that Ken Davy will NOT sack Jacko for this. Not when Bradford are our next opponents, can't see it. The other side of the coin is, of course, if we were defeated by our hated rivals PJ would never be forgiven - that would be curtains, probably even for me (don't want to think about it). But more about this later in the week. I'm off out to drown my many, many sorrows - it's awful and I am utterly devastated.

Just a final note, I am at the moment listening to Kieran O'Regan talking to Derm Tanner on the radio, and its heartbreaking - you can hear the upset in his voice. "...how many more players is Peter Jackson going to fall out with...", "...what do they do on the training ground...", "...our midfield 4 are as much use a chocolate fireguard...", and, more telling this "...the whole club needs an overhaul from top to bottom...". A very, very interesting interview. Difficult listening in all honesty. My 17th anniversary as a Town fan is a disaster.
