Oldham Athletic 1-1 Huddersfield Town

An excellent point for Town, Gerry Murphys caretaker unbeaten run stretches to 1 win and 4 draws. Two changes to the Town side, Adnan Ahmed and a return for Andy Booth after injury in place of Danny Schofield and John McAliskey.

It sounded like Oldham had the far better of the first half, looking a cut above Town, and they took the lead through Chris Porter in the 23rd minute.

With only pride really left to play for this season, Messers Murphy and Dungworth took the decision to blood two academy lads - James Hand and James Berrett (something I wholeheartedly agree with).

Town fought back doggedly but had to wait until the 78th minute when ex-Oldham front man Luke Beckett (inevitably) got an excellent equaliser for Town - Joe Skarz played James Berrett in, he fired in a cross which the Town striker guided home with a header.

An excellent point, but of course all too late as far as our season goes.
