Huddersfield Town 2-1 Blackburn Rovers
An excellent result, avenging our Carling Cup defeat of 2 seasons ago. Ok, maybe Blackburn weren't putting it all in at times (so I am told), but the result doesn't lie and Town definitely deserved the win.
Two Luke Beckett goals, courtesy of defensive errors, replied to by Jason Roberts late consolation.
Team selection was an interesting one with no Frank Sinclair and Andy Holdsworth playing in midfield, but both Danny Cadamarteri and Michael Collins were especially outstanding by all accounts; that said though, everyone who played last night can take some credit for this. Nice work, and now I really cannot wait for the new season to start in 9 days time!
