Not sure if I'm over Saturdays disappointment yet, although the blow has been softened slightly with the confirmation I can have 3rd November off (for the Port Vale game) in return for overtime (and plenty of it - bah) - but there is no way I could have concentrated properly knowing my beloved Town were playing down the road - I've seen them at Port Vale many times, its not far from where I live (Pavs hat-trick lives long in the memory). I'm just glad to be able to be there!!

On Saturday morning my Man United supporting hubby and my Man United supporting step-son dutifully queued up at a book signing Norman Whiteside was giving in Crewe. Just before you wonder why I'm bothering you all with this non-Town information, its more to do with what was said afterwards......
Sam took his book for a fellow Man U fan to look at in the club last night, and they were talking about if any other players had come to Crewe for a book signing. Sam said there wouldn't be many other players of the past he would go to the trouble of seeing "...perhaps Robbo, or Eric The King..." he mused "...or.." (turning to me with a mischievous look) "...Brucey, but I'd have to take Julie along for that one..."; "...not unless I had a grenade or a shotgun at the ready..." was my retort (I was only jesting of course............).
