Walsall 4-0 Huddersfield Town

Embarrassing, inept, directionless, hopeless, rubbish (this was nearly all I was going to put for this posting).

Totally second best throughout this encounter, we have got what we deserved.

Behind in the 31st minute to an Anthony Gerrard header, 2 down before half time as Edrissa Sonko headed home. Mark Bradley made it 3 for the home side from close range in the 50th minute, then Towns fate was as good as sealed when Frank Sinclair was sent off for a second bookable offence. Walsalls veteran striker Tommy Mooney finished the rout with 20 minutes to go.

******

Its very rare I get embarrassed for being a Town supporter, but today is as bad as it gets. We are allowed to wear casual clothes when we work at a weekend, and today I was wearing my old Bloggs HTAFC t-shirt; as soon as the result was final, if I had to leave my desk I made sure my arm was hiding the HTAFC logo on the front. I've never done that before.

I have mentioned before briefly about the fact AR has not been able to bring in his own men on the coaching side; look where its getting us. No point in mentioning under-investment, already covered that at length before. As our next match is on Sky next Sunday, wonder if this could be the chance for some of the attendees to get their message across to Davy in the most public of ways. We wait and see.

Time to hit the Chardonnay........
