Cheltenham Town 0-2 Huddersfield Town

Town get the festive season off to the perfect start, with a brace by Andy Booth comfortably seeing off Cheltenham.

The Legend first struck in the 14th minute, Robbie Williams involved as Boothy sent a shot in from 8 yards. One way traffic pretty much for the rest of the half, with Williams and Wallwork also going close with chances.

Town should have been given a penalty in the second half, when a clumsy challenge from behind on Boothy was waved away by the referee (when everyone else expected him to point to the spot). And a second shout was also ignored, when it looked like the Cheltenham defender had handled at the near post.

The highlight of the game was still to come, with a lovely move making the points safe. A Matt Glennon punt upfield was controlled beautifully by Andy Booth, played out to Danny Schofield who cut inside and whipped in a cross - finding "..our favourite son.."'s head perfectly - keeper no chance. Brilliant.

Scary but true, we are now only 3 points away from the playoffs (that goal difference is going to be a pain though). With home matches to come, it could be a very Merry Christmas for everyone!!
