Disappointing news time everyone. It is not official yet, but it is as good as, Andy Holdsworth will sign for Preston North End for, a paltry, £300,000. I'm gutted. The rumours earlier in the week were suggesting they were after Nathan Clarke for £200,000 - in that case the fee for AH should be over the million mark to keep things in proportion!!
£300k, probably about the going rate for a Kiwi and a couple of Aussies - yes, I would think there is more chance of Jon Sharp reaping the rewards than Andy Ritchie.
