A freezing, foggy night at the Galpharm, in front of just 6326 spectators, saw Town take the spoils. Luke Becketts first half penalty in a largely uneventful match the difference.
Millwall had the early chances, Matty Glennon needing to be alert as early as the first minute, but to no avail for the visitors.
Towns goal came in the 29th minute, Luke Beckett fouled just inside the box, and it was he who slotted away the resultant spot kick with aplomb. Town were unlucky not to get another penalty shortly after, the referee missing a handball that Oggy and Kieran spotted (despite the fog) from the commontary box.
Millwall failed to take their chances, and 1-0 it remained. 3 points we may be thankful of come May (you never know), the only real positive being the clean sheet. Town now 13th, Gillingham next stop Saturday.
