A nice article from the OS following up on last weeks Supporters Club meeting documented here last week.

Marcus Middleton - Hoyle Is Fan-Tastic!!

Gerry Murphy is pleased with the ovation Danny Schofield got after his final home appearance on Saturday.

Nice Send Off For Danny - Gerry Murphy

Forgot to mention, but my Season Ticket is sorted. In my regular haunt in the LB (or Direct Golf, call it what you will its the Lawrence Batley to me) Lower, a little bit nearer the front than usual (lucky to get one at all in the sector I wanted such is the demand), but I am absolutely delighted. Sam less so, although he admits it will be worthwhile in the long run because of the price, but also he thinks I will be chucking my job in at the earliest opportunity come August!! I admit the temptation to go all the time will be there, but I am definitely going to do my best to get to as many Tuesday nights this time, even though the train times don't help.

I'm extremely excited!!!

Huddersfield Town 2-0 Walsall

This seasons home fixtures end as they started with 3 points. I'd wish we'd sacked AR in December now, considering the non-stop improvement since his departure.

The perfect leaving gift from Danny Schofield as he opened the scoring not long before half-time. Andy Holdsworth run from midfield, his precise pass setting Scoffer on his way, and he coolly placed his shot into the far corner (GOOD LUCK SCOFFER, WE WILL MISS YOU).

Town were well on top in this encounter and the points were made safe in the 56th minute, when Andy Booth got his 125th Town career goal, Jon Worthington crossing accurately for Boothy to score with a trademark header.

Gerry Murphy should be in line for Manager of The Month for April now I think, and I'm hopeful that him and Graham Mitchell are allowed to take care of the lads one final time at Luton next weekend, they both deserve it.

****
A mixed reception I gather for the grand unveiling of our new Management team, with a few boos. I have to ask, WHAT PLANET ARE THESE SO CALLED SUPPORTERS ON?? Give them a chance, they weren't my choices either but on reflection they could well do a good job. I can only assume the dissenters did not know who Stan Ternent was, not old enough to appreciate Rocket Ron as a Town hero, no idea what Martin Allen had done to talk himself out of the job, or deluded enough to believe all the Shearer nonsense. Either way, to boo when they are not even in charge is low. This is what I say to them

GET BEHIND THE LADS, GET BEHIND STAN & RONNIE, SUPPORT THE TOWN 10000000% OR CLEAR OFF

Rant over!

Stan Ternents first job as manager is one that will please everyone.

Boothy - 12 More Months

I'm delighted. If it is his goals that fire us to promotion it would be marvellous. Nice work guys (suspect RJ had a part to play in this)!

Last home match of the season today against Walsall. I'm gutted I'm not going to be there, life is unfair. If someone had said when I was at the Birmingham match in January that that would be my final visit to the Galpharm this season I wouldn't have believed it. Its rubbish only getting 1 Saturday every 6 weeks, it really is. If I still worked in the shops I would have booked today off long since. I'm fed up! I so wanted to be there to welcome our new management team, Rocket Ron will get one hell of a reception. Life is unfair!

3 points should see Gerry Murphy get manager of the month, as we have been unbeaten since AR was sacked on April 1st. I think we will win, Walsall lost their manager in the week, so we are meeting them at the right time. UP THE TOWN!!

An open Supporters Meeting was held last night, with both Sean Jarvis and Dean Hoyle in attendance, and its what Dean had to say that made excellent listening:

Many thanks to Marcus Middleton for supplying the information.

As far as the new manager saga went, this is what happened:

"...Alan Shearer was never in the running. He has never met him. He never applied. Even if he had he wouldn't have appointed him as he has no experience....although he does admit it would, in the short term have filled the stadium.

Hutchings was interviewed, but he knew the fans didn't want him.

The decision was between Allen and Ternent. Dean Hoyle looked Allen in the eye and asked him "if you did well here, and a London club came in for you, you'd go wouldn't you?".....Allen's reply was "Yes".

Ternent approached the club. The club did not chase him..."

So Martin Allen managed to talk himself out of a job then, and furthermore......

"..Dean Hoyle was not impressed by Allen being in the stands and hawking himself about. He wasn't happy with Hutchings doing the same. That is not the way to conduct business, and they shot themselves in the foot..."

And he rates our new manager highly:

"...Ternent has left a very lucrative contract to come here. He wants to manage. He wants to succeed. He realises this is his final chance to do something.

Ternent has always wanted Ronnie to come with him. He was not forced upon him.

Dean Hoyle says Ternent will have a large pot of money to spend on new players (it won't be 'millions and millions' (plural) but it will be 'significant'). The budget will be considerably higher than this season's.

Town will once again spend money on signing players. There are over 1400 players out of contract this summer but they are players clubs don't want. To get players who are better you have to buy them. We will be signing quality loan players. Ternent has considerable contacts within the game, and managers of Premiership and Championship teams will trust him to look after their players and to develop them properly. Dean Hoyle wanted someone who would spend his money wisely. It is not to be wasted, and he feels Ternent is the man to do that job. And to get us promoted...."

Cheap season tickets also came up:

"...If we sell 12000 tickets we will be £500k down on last season. 16000 tickets would see us break even. He expects us to sell between 12000 and 13000 tickets. We have currently sold approaching 6000 and 30% of those are new customers. If we do well this season he may feel it appropriate to subsidise season ticket prices again..."

He doesn't think much of Andy Ritchie:

"...Ritchie was too soft. After the defeat at Gillingham he gave the players 3 days off out of the next 4 days. It wasn't good enough. Dean Hoyle was disgusted at seeing Ritchie propping himself up against the dugout. Passionless. And not acceptable..."

In conclusion Dean Hoyle has had to work hard to earn his fortune, and does not what to see it go up in smoke overnight. He quite clearly trusts Stan Ternent with the purse-strings, and expects nothing short of the play-offs next season. Our new chairman in waiting is pulling out all the stops to make our Centenary a season to remember!!!

Our new gaffers first interview, and he's talking the talk I'll give him that.

Stan Ternent Interview (Official Site)

Having read it, and re-read it do you know what - I'm actually changing my mind about this, and wondering if the Board, for once, know what they are doing. I think I have definitely changed my mind about this appointment you know. My earlier doom and gloom is beginning to lift!!

TERNENT FOR TOWN

Its official folks. A three year deal (will they ever learn), with Ronnie Jepson as assistant. The Rocket really is laying his hero status on the line here. Failure and he will never be forgiven.

What you can say, I suppose, is that Stan Ternent has been there and done it at this level. His win ratio is nothing to crow about and that is a concern, but he has a couple of promotions on his CV, and is still regarded highly at Burnley and Bury as a result. A lot will depend (as with AR 12 months ago) on the calibre of player he brings in in the summer.

I'll say what I said last time when Andy Ritchie was appointed - in 12 months time we could be talking about an inspired appointment, on the other hand though, well........

The manager saga has taken a (rather worrying) twist. Various sources are quoting that Stan Ternent has left Derby County to join Town and he's bringing Ronnie Jepson with him as number two!!! Spare us all if it's true, this, in my opinion, has disaster written all over it. So he's got promotions in his history. So had Andy Ritchie. I'm more than a tad dismayed if this turns out to be true (couldn't Adam Pearson have done a bit more to persuade him to stay).

Nothing on the Official Site of note, only that ST has been approached.

Oh, and for all those who heard that Sir Alex Ferguson had recommended Ternent for Town - remember last time we employed a manager on a recommendation from a knight of the realm.

As I have said, this has got disaster written all over it. I am dismayed an unimpressed in equal measure.

Been a bit quiet on the New Manager front of late, but I sense an announcement shortly. Last home game of the season this Saturday against Walsall, so surely the new man will be revealed beforehand. Longer it goes on I really cannot see past Martin Allen. I have been told it is between Allen and A N Other (who I will not reveal on here, I'm not betraying a confidence), my source is impeccable as ever.

Despite all the nonsense rumours of Alan Shearer (spare us all if it happens, I'd give him 'til Christmas), and the more credible rumours flying about, I still think Martin Allen will get the nod, I honestly do. Not just because he has been my choice from day 1 (even though he has been of course), but I do not think I have seen anyone work so hard to get appointed ever, turning up not just for 1st team games but for reserve and under-18 matches too (should be appointed on that reason alone).

If ever Dean Hoyles "...crawl over broken glass to get to Huddersfield..." analogy was to be true my money would be on Martin Allen to do just that.

Huddersfield Town 1-0 Tranmere Rovers

...and the points just keep on coming (albeit a tad late this season).

Not the greatest game ever seen, a scrappy affair, with Andy Booths tap in after a run and shot by Michael Collins in the 61st minute the difference. Boothy almost doubled the lead 15 minutes later with another tap in, but Tranmere goalkeeper Coyne came to the rescue.

Gerry Murphys caretaker stint keeps rolling on undefeated!!!

Getting my season ticket tomorrow - and I can hardly wait!!

Saturday, April 19, 2008

Today is one of those days when I wish I wasn't in work and going to the game instead. With the feelgood factor after Tuesday night, cheap season tickets and Dean Hoyle, then The Galph is the place to be and not Stoke on Trent!!

Heres hoping the good vibes rub off on the lads in the way of 3 points - UTT!

Friday, April 18, 2008

I hadn't heard much on Jackos progress of late, and had assumed no news to be good news.... not quite, worryingly.

Alison Jackson Column - Lincolnshire Echo 16th April

I am a bit relieved that he is over the worse and improving, but this news shook me up a bit understandably. That is one of the many downsides to fighting that wretched disease, that it leaves you open to all sorts of infections, and this would appear to be the case with PJ.

(Can't someone at Town arrange a pre-season friendly against Lincoln (I have mentioned this before), as I and everyone else would love to see Jacko back at The Galpharm again).

Just in case you still pop by this site from time-to-time Peter, just to let you know that me and all my fellow Town fans are with you, thinking of you, and praying you will get well very soon indeed xxxxxxxx

Thursday, April 17, 2008

Andy Ritchie was on Soccer Night last night, bleating that we didn't give him long enough. He claims that managers need at least 2-3 years to get things right. Christ, if we'd given him any longer I'd have shot myself. Oldham truly was the final straw. We've gone nowhere this season (no I am not suggesting not getting rid of PJ in the first place would have prevented this), and out of the team Gerry Murphy selected on Tuesday only Robbie Williams (who was poor) and Rob Page were Ritchie signings. Seems to me that GM has done more in 3 weeks than AR (and Dungheap of course) managed in 12 months.

Things are definitely looking up!!

Wednesday, April 16, 2008

Contributed a couple of quid into the Town transfer kitty by way of purchasing two birthday cards at Dean Hoyles card shop, Crewe branch. My husband seems to think I'll end up buying cards even when there is nothing to celebrate (as if I would ....).

Our chairman-to-be is a happy man after last night, and so he should be.

Dean Hoyle: I'm Ecstatic

Loving the quote at the end about the new manager search:

“If whoever gets the job was watching last night’s game, I’d expect them to crawl to Huddersfield on broken glass to manage this team.”

So they should do, I'm sure Martin Allen (in attendance yet again last night) definately would (I'm told he was very impressive in his interview by the way).

Huddersfield Town 1-0 Leeds United

Older fans will well remember Dave Cowlings head doing a wonderful thing back in 1982, this generation of Town supporters will remember Andy Holdsworths head doing something similar!!!

A glorious victory against our hated rivals (I did predict a narrow 1-0 win didn't I) in front of a bumper 16,000+ crowd - so, so sweet.

Main talking points of the first half were 2 sendings off. 2 yellow cards apiece for Jonathan Douglas (a tug on Michael Collins and a scything tackle on Jon Worthington), and for Jon Worthington - an unseen yellow for dissent, followed by a harsh second for a challenge, the referee going out of his way to even things up it would appear.

The winning goal came with 15 minutes to go, Michael Collins' run down the wing, played in Joe Skarz who crossed for Andy Holdsworth to nod home - jubilation!!!! Joe Skarz was unlucky not to score himself straight after - chipping Kasper Ankergren who was off his line, but the ball landed on the roof of the net.

Victory!!! A sweet one at that.

****

Missed the after match phone in as I went skipping down to our local social club to celebrate, wished I had heard it though because apparently it was a classic. Loads of whining Leeds supporters being given as good as they got by Kieran O'Regan "...come back when you've won three titles in a row..." . He's an absolute legend!!

Tuesday, April 15, 2008

Half time: Town 0-0 Leeds

A half not short of incident. Jonathan Douglas for 2 yellows (two of the worst tackles you will ever see in League One - P Ogden) and a straight red for Jon Worthington (a disgraceful decision, the ref has lost the plot - K O'Regan)

Radio Leeds Predict The Scoreline: Oggy thinks 2-2, Kieran says 2-1 Town, Eddie Gray says 0-2 Leeds, Adam Pope says 1-2 Leeds. Lets hope K O'R is right................

Less than a hour to kick off and I just cannot wait. Been brimming with anticipation all day today - bring it on. We can put those so and so's in their place, just see if we don't. I cannot see there being much in this as I have already said, a 1-0 win to Town (Boothy to score).

Monday, April 14, 2008

Dean Hoyle looks forward to tomorrow night.

Hoyle: Baptism Of Fire

He's not the only one who cannot wait. Bring 'em on, the White-Shite!!! Think we could just sneak a narrow win you know. There will be a big crowd roaring the lads on, and I'll will be tuning in on the radio (no surprises who scuppered my idea of attending).

****

Interviews have started today, and I gather (my sources are impeccable as ever) the 4 candidates seen today were:

Chris Hutchings
Ronnie Jepson
Martin Allen
Mark Lillis

Now, if they were interviewing for an assistant (MA aside, he's my pick for the top job) you'd say that's not a bad list. However (apart from MA as I said) as a managerial shortlist (2/3 of it anyhow) it's a tad concerning. Wonder who the other two candidates are? Adams, Dowie, Davies, Shearer?? Whoever it is, Dean Hoyle says they are in no hurry and it may be a while yet before a decision is made. (Maybe they are waiting for a "Special One" to apply.............)!!

Port Vale 0-0 Huddersfield Town

Our first goalless draw of the season was enough to relegate Vale (getting our own back for them sending us down with that awful 5-1 drubbing that time, one of my worst memories as a supporter), in not the most entertaining match you will ever see if I am being honest.

A fairly non-descript first half, Matt Glennon only had one save to make as the rest of the time he was untroubled by some woeful Vale finishing. Not that it was any better for us either, with no real first half chances (Boothy going close with a header that the keeper caught easily).

Town had enough chances in the second half to win, Chris Brandon had a goal incorrectly ruled out for offside. Nathan Clarke finding Brando who tapped in (never offside in a million years, Vale had players on the post), the lineswoman (yes you have read that right) getting the full wrath of Rob Page in particular for getting that decision totally wrong.

Other chances for Andy Booth and Andy Holdsworth, both skyed over the crossbar, plus some wayward finishing from James Berrett and that was it.

Uninspiring Third Division fare I think you can call it!!

*****

Arrived home to hear some very sad news. Former Town Chairman Malcolm Asquith has passed away after a long illness. Town through and through, a gentleman who will be sadly missed.

Condolences to his family.

Season Ticket news is in - and the news is good - VERY GOOD!! I feel a change of career coming on.........

2008 / 2009 Season Tickets

It would be criminal not thinking of getting one at those prices. Just got to convince Sam that it is a good idea (not easy) and find another job (will have a few months to do so). It would be absolute madness not to take advantage, really it would. I have some serious planning to do!

Huddersfield Town - 100 Years

The centenary starts here!!! Enjoy!!

Friday, April 11, 2008

An exciting announcement regarding Season Tickets is scheduled for tomorrow. I suspect a figure of 190.80 (in respect of our centenary of course) is realistic. Anything cheaper than that will have me definitely interested in purchasing one and heading for the nearest Job Centre looking for employment that gives me my weekends back (that is not a joke, it is a serious consideration).

Dean Hoyle expects the crowds to come flocking back.

14000 Gates A Possibility - Exciting Times Ahead

Will be at the Port Vale game tomorrow with Luke in tow (not put off after Oldham), hopefully we will be the ones who will be sending them down. I hope the new optimism amongst the fans since yesterdays announcement rubs off on the players.

Thursday, April 10, 2008

Our new Chairman in waiting is saying all the right things......

Hoyle - I Want Attacking Football

Looking forward to Saturday even more now!!! DEANO!! DEANO!! DEANO!! Bring it on, the futures bright (the futures blue 'n' white)!!!

Oh Happy Day.........

Davy Reign Almost Over

So, enter Dean Hoyle. Card Factory entrepreneur, Town fan, multi-millionaire. What marvellous, marvellous news (although there has been no mention of the 40% being returned, so this may not appease everyone). There is a spring in my step today!!!!!

As the article says, he will take over fully after the centenary season, but join the board with immediate effect.

One thing I may suggest, is the appointment of Chris Hutchings less likely now?

(..and as one of Mr Hoyles outlets is in Crewe Town Centre, guess where I will be purchasing my sisters birthday card now)!!

Wednesday, April 9, 2008

Well, there is a shortlist - we just don't know whose on it yet.

Town Select 6 Man Shortlist

I think it is most likely to be the candidates already mentioned below, but you never know. I don't realistically expect Mourhino / Jol / Allardyce on the list - but hey, come on Ken surprise us!!!

....... THE SECOND RUNNING OF THE HUDDERSFIELD TOWN NEW MANAGER STAKES

Didn't expect to have to post one of these quite so soon, but here goes, in no particular order like last time:

Billy Davies - Ex Preston and Derby boss, recently shortlisted for the Scotland managers job (though asked not to be considered for the post in the end).

Conclusion: Would be an eye-catching appointment, surprised to hear that he has applied, thought it would have taken a higher profile job to tempt him back into management.

Iain Dowie - In danger of having more clubs than Lee Westwood this guy. Recently left Coventrys employ shortly before they were officially taken over. Previous spells at Oldham, Crystal Palace (Simon Jordan served a writ on him after his departure if you remember - KD you have been warned) and a brief tenure at Charlton Athletic.

Conclusion: Really cannot understand the appeal of this guy. I know he got Palace into the Prem but he did take them straight back down. Does not do anything for me on any level, does not excite me one little bit. We would have been better off keeping Ritchie if this is all the board come up with.

Mickey Adams - On this list last time, not been in management since leaving Coventry over 12 months ago. Been seen at Town matches more than once, spotted talking to Ann Hough on one occasion, but I wouldn't read too much into that.

Conclusion: As I think I said last time, he is still highly regarded at the other clubs he managed, so not sure why it has been so long since he was employed. That said, he would make an excellent Town manager in my opinion. Must be worth an interview at the very least,

Chris Hutchings - Ex Bradford and Wigan manager, not exactly successful at either but has a decent reputation nonetheless. Been much in evidence at the Galpharm lately as a guest of Graham Leslie.

Conclusion: As has been pointed out, when people speak of this guy they say what an excellent assistant / coach he is. Worries me that. I have mentioned that if he comes part and parcel of a Leslie takeover then so be it, but cannot see us shifting many extra season tickets if his appointment was confirmed.

Ronnie Jepson - Sacked by Gillingham earlier in the season and has been scouting for Neil Warnock at Crystal palace of late. One of my all time Town heroes, not a very convincing management CV though. Supposedly in the crowd at weekend.

Conclusion: It's an unlikely appointment in all honesty, but who knows. It could work, given the right assistant / coach. Have heard a whisper about Rocket Ron as manager with Mark Lillis as number 2. As much as it sounds good, I still see this scenario as unlikely.

Martin Allen - Self styled "Mad Dog", his teams had a reputation for "..nearly, but not quite..", with Brentford bottling the playoffs more than once. Would make a popular appointment nonetheless if up-and-at-em football floats your boat. Was at the Galpharm on Saturday.

Conclusion: This sounds just the ticket to me. His brand of football isn't to everyones liking I know, but I like his style. Some of the playing staff need a boot up the 'arris, and he would be quick in providing that. Has to be the choice for me. Ticks every single box, and the season tickets would sell like hot cakes (do you hear me Mr Davy).

As last time, I cannot see it being anyone other than the candidates mentioned above (was right about this last time), an announcement is apparently to be made within the fortnight. This has to be the right appointment, I really don't want to have to run one of these for a few years to come at least.........

The applicant list is looking good.......

Town Attract Quality Applicants

Key Board Meeting Tomorrow

I am surprised to see Billy Davies' name on the list. He was recently on the shortlist for the Scotland job, not sure why a Third Division job is a tempter but there you go. I'd be worried though that if he suddenly had bigger fish to fry he'd be off. Be a classy employment though, no doubt about it.

Allen or Adams off that list would be good, wouldn't want Dowie, Robert Page would be off like a shot - talking of which.........

Page - I Want To Stay

Said before we should pay him what he wants to keep him, same goes for Matt Glennon too. Hope the new man gets this sorted quickly.

Huddersfield Town 2-2 Doncaster Rovers

A performance light years away from last Saturday saw Town pegged back twice, enabling Doncaster to take a share of the spoils.

Town in front in the 7th minute. Clarke with the free kick, Booth with the flick on and Robbie Williams with the finish from 10 yards.

it was nearly all Town, this match could have been all over by half time had Boothy, Collins and Brandon converted their chances, but Town remained 1 up at the break.

Doncaster equalised on 50 minutes, Gareth Taylor finishing neatly from Greens pullback. Rovers were down to 10 men shortly afterwards, Matthew Mills hauled Chris Brandon down while the latter was through on goal.

Town made the extra man count, when from the resulting free kick, Andy Holdsworth fired low past Sullivans near post.

3 points weren't meant to be ours this time, Paul Greens excellent shot 6 minutes from time rescued a point for the visitors. Overall though, a good result considering, and a better performance all round. More worrying is the 5 yellow cards picked up including Jon Worthington (4 in 4 for him, not good).

****

Potential new managers spotted (so I have been told so far) - Martin Allen and Chris Hutchings. Indeed, rumours abound that MA met KD for talks yesterday. Hope that is true, because Chris Hutchings doesn't strike me as the dynamic, season-ticket shifting appointment hinted at. But Martin Allen would be in my opinion.

My busiest day in work today, Grand National Saturday. Would rather be going to watch the lads versus Donny of course, but this is one day no-one in this place gets off.

As long as Dun Doire (which I backed last year, to no avail) or King Johns Castle (got in the Sweep) win that will do. If Town can get 3 points in our first match post-Ritchie then that will MORE than do!!!

Thursday, April 3, 2008

Former Manager Neil Warnock has his say on the Town vacancy.

Jeppo The Man For Town

Look, I know I heavilly favoured him last time, but if I'm being totally honest it was more as a "..quick fix.." after Jacko had departed. Since leaving Gillingham Rocket Ron has been scouting for Warnock at Crystal Palace, and while I do not doubt a single thing Neil says, I cannot see it being that popular an appointment if it was to come to pass.

Latest rumour I heard suggested if Ronnie did get the job, then Mark Lillis would be the number 2 and Chris Hutchings would become Director of Football.

Actually, reading that last paragraph back, the idea of that triumvirate is actually growing on me.......

Long overdue developments at Town today.

Dungworth Departs

Should have gone the last time we were managerless, the common denominator between Jackos final days and Ritchies tenure. It was absolutely crucial that the new man, whoever he may be as we are no nearer knowing, be allowed to bring in his own coach.

Wednesday, April 2, 2008

Surely not??
The rumour mill has been on overdrive, predictably, with a few names mentioned in particular. Martin Allen has been quoted (his response to a leading question naturally, don't miss a trick these hacks) as being interested.

Allen Expresses Town Interest

More worryingly (in my opinion) is the whisper of the name Shearer, Alan not Duncan! As much chance of the latter than the former getting the job. All those who think employing Newcastles favourite son is a good idea are sold on the "...good publicity..", "...bums on seats...", "...well connected.." angle. Not me. He has no experience in Management, and although I agree everyone must start somewhere this cannot happen. The amount of good players who were rubbish managers - Malcolm McDonald anyone - it's a laughable concept.

Realistically, I think I believe the rumour that the shortlist has already been made. Haven't heard anything from the club to suggest they are advertising like last time. If the Graham Leslie takeover talk becomes reality, then Chris Hutchings is a shoe-in. Wouldn't be my choice, but if as a package that ousts Ken Davy I could live with it.

If left to me, I would give Martin Allen a go, tells it like it is, takes no crap Warnock style, a quality in fact I like! Certain players are in need of a kick up the arse right now, he would provide it.

Over to you Ken Davy, and as last time several thousand season tickets are riding on the outcome of this.

Tuesday, April 1, 2008

RITCHIE SACKED

No this isn't an April Fools Day joke, it's true. After Saturdays debacle Ken Davy has seen enough. I'm glad. Never my idea of manager, second choice all along. Players he brought in average at best (Rob Page the exception), with 17 players out of contract in the summer this has to be the right move.

(As last time, I do not buy the Mutual Consent rubbish by the way).

No tears to be shed, and no eulogy by me this time.

Ritchie Goes (official site)

Ritchie Sacked (BBC Sport)

Ritchie Out (The Examiner)

So where do we go from here? Martin Allen would be a good choice, tells it like it is, bit like Warnock, would be a popular choice. Likewise Mike Newell. Getting them to come to Town, regardless of money, could the hardest task though.

Chris Hutchings has been much in evidence as well at The Galpharm of late. If Graham Leslie does takeover, then it is probably a done deal. Although KD says the search starts now, I think the 12th April could go a long way to deciding the future. We wait and see.
