Huddersfield Town 1-0 Leeds United

Older fans will well remember Dave Cowlings head doing a wonderful thing back in 1982, this generation of Town supporters will remember Andy Holdsworths head doing something similar!!!

A glorious victory against our hated rivals (I did predict a narrow 1-0 win didn't I) in front of a bumper 16,000+ crowd - so, so sweet.

Main talking points of the first half were 2 sendings off. 2 yellow cards apiece for Jonathan Douglas (a tug on Michael Collins and a scything tackle on Jon Worthington), and for Jon Worthington - an unseen yellow for dissent, followed by a harsh second for a challenge, the referee going out of his way to even things up it would appear.

The winning goal came with 15 minutes to go, Michael Collins' run down the wing, played in Joe Skarz who crossed for Andy Holdsworth to nod home - jubilation!!!! Joe Skarz was unlucky not to score himself straight after - chipping Kasper Ankergren who was off his line, but the ball landed on the roof of the net.

Victory!!! A sweet one at that.

Missed the after match phone in as I went skipping down to our local social club to celebrate, wished I had heard it though because apparently it was a classic. Loads of whining Leeds supporters being given as good as they got by Kieran O'Regan "...come back when you've won three titles in a row..." . He's an absolute legend!!
